Most BOCC Work Sessions are held in the Board Room of the Park County Offices building located at 856 Castello Avenue, Fairplay, on Wednesday of each week. The meetings are scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM. Any changes to location or time are posted on the Park County website, as well as on the monitors located outside the BOCC Board Room.
Recently, one Travel Work Session was added to each month, where the Commissioners will visit different towns throughout Park County with the goal of discussing issues relevant to those communities.
Work Sessions are an open forum to solicit input from the members of the community. As an example, general questions related to a non-specific land use case can be discussed, but the Commissioners cannot discuss a specific land use case prior to its hearing date. All public hearings are set to be heard at the county seat in Fairplay. Participation from the public is welcomed and encouraged. It is through interactions between county government and citizens, such as these Work Sessions, that improvements to our county are made.
Requests to have an item for discussion placed on a Work Session agenda may be made here
Starting in April, they will hold one evening meeting each month in Fairplay at 6 PM in the BOCC Board room.
Times and locations are subject to change. Please check the Park County website for any changes to these schedules.
